Eclect... according to Hyam Maccobi (Revolution in Judea), it's far more likely that Jesus arrived in Jerusalem on Sukkot, about 6 months before Passover. Each year in synagogue as we wave the lulav (palm branch) and etrog while we sing the Hoshanot, I think of Maccobi.
Passover is later this year because it is a Jewish leap year, in which there are two Adar's. Adar is the month before Nisan and Nisan is the month Passover is in. So Passover comes out later this year.
